Living life with no rules & no regrets....because life is too short and graduation & and the real world scares the s*@t out of me
The saddest summary of a life contains three descriptions: could have, might have, and should have.

Inspired

My past poli sci and economics courses have all been focused on economic development. It must be a sign; I’m inspired to go abroad and do some volunteer/intern work. I’m so grateful to have all the opportunities I have here—especially after talking to my roommates about how hard my parents work, while I have the comfort of being in school. I don’t have to work to go to work 7am-7pm, 6 days a week, in addition to working a night job. I am lucky to have all the opportunities presented to me; why not help create opportunities for others who don’t get the chance?

And yet, when you get here, you are not given instructions. No one tells you that heart A is meant to slot into heart B. There are no diagrams about how you are meant to live each day or directions on how to assemble some semblance of happiness. You are not even told what colours to paint your feelings or, given a purpose and a reason for your life.
You have to make all of it up. You have to make all of it, yourself.
Sometimes there is a reason your past didn’t make it to your future.

Life’s hard. It’s supposed to be. If we didn’t suffer, we’d never learn anything.

Disney’s “Mulan” // via rinnyy

Celebration when your plan is working? Anyone can do that. But when you realize that the story of your life could be told a thousand different ways, that you could tell it over and over as a tragedy, but you choose to call it an epic, that’s when you start to learn what celebration is. When what you see in front of you is so far outside of what you dreamed, but you have the belief, the boldness, the courage to call it beautiful instead of calling it wrong… that’s celebration.
